Elka works with adults (18+) and couples feeling a disconnect between what they know intellectually and how they show up in their lives. She specializes in eating disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, chronic pain, and relationship distress, and has a particular interest in helping couples navigate politically, spiritually, or ideologically driven divides.

Her approach is embodied, experiential, and evidence-based. Instead of offering advice or rehashing problems, Elka guides clients beyond self-criticism and overthinking to explore the emotions, personal history, and relational patterns that shape their experiences. Sessions are structured, intentional, and compassionate, balancing safety and directness so clients can experience real change while feeling deeply understood.

Elka has extensive experience across levels of care, including residential, PHP/IOP and outpatient settings for eating disorders, substance use, mood disorders, and persistent mental health conditions.  She also hosts the podcast EDeology: The People Behind Today’s Eating Disorder Treatment Landscape and authored Binge Eating Demystified. Her work supports clients in finding more freedom, clarity, and authenticity in life and relationships.
