Melissa Affronti has worked in a variety of human service organizations, from providing direct clinical work to organizational support and social justice. Melissa has also taught and trained in numerous settings such as social work education, program implementation in human services, and yoga classes. Melissa utilizes a person-centered approach in therapy to build trust, goal setting to work toward progress, and a strengths-based approach throughout all her work. She primarily works with adults of all ages 18 and older. Melissa focuses on anxiety, depression, and finding meaning and hope through life transitions. She provides tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy, and can incorporate mind-body techniques such as mindfulness and relaxation.
